Zoom 504 II Acoustic
For Acoustic&Electric Guitar Acoustic guitar effects that let every nuance of your playing technique shine through. Professional features tailor-made for critical recording work. Patches and modules that come alive during a live performance. Using the 504II is like having your own acoustic recording engineer wherever you go.

33 versatile effects

In an extremely compact body, the 504II offers a full complement of 33effects, with the ability to use up to 10 simultaneously. Exceptional quality and superior performance are now within easy reach. Effects such as LIMITER, EQUALIZER, and CHORUS have been specially optimized for acoustic guitar. AIR simulates the spatial feeling of sounds being picked up in a room by a microphone. De-AMP removes the harshness that can be a problem when playing acoustic guitar through a guitar amplifier. TOUCH helps makes your picking more uniform and smooth. Other effects include EMPHASIZER which simulates a steel guitar and the world's first WAH effect specifically designed for acoustic guitar. Explore a whole new world of sound with the 504II.

Use 36 preprogrammed patches right away

Up to 36 effect combinations and parameter settings can be stored as patches in the unit's memory. The 504II already comes with a useful array of preprogrammed patches for various playing styles, instruments, and musical genres. If you're looking for rhythm or lead sounds, nylon string guitar or 12-string, the natural resonance of wood or the definition of graphite, stroke or arpeggio effects, open tuning or bottleneck, you'll find what you need in the 504 II. No matter whether you're into folk, country & western, blues, or ensemble playing, you'll feel right at home with this versatile device. There are even patches for electric gut guitars which stand out for slow, legato style playing.

Highly effective Feedback Suppressor

Unwanted feedback can be a real problem when using an acoustic guitar on stage. Depending on the size and type of venue, the frequency where feedback occurs can vary considerably. But now you have exactly the right tool to solve that problem. The 504II's built-in feedback suppressor automatically detects the frequency range where feedback occurs and attenuates that band with a highly effective notch filter. Its Automatic Detection feature can be easily triggered with the optional foot switch.

Make your electric guitar sound like an acoustic

The built-in simulator instantly transforms an electric guitar sound into an acoustic instrument sound. Various patches let you choose among flat top, nylon, 12-string, slide, piezo pickup and other acoustic sounds. Without changing guitars, you can amaze your audience by easily switching from electric to acoustic guitar during a live performance. This function is also really useful if you don't own a steel or nylon string guitar, or if you don't like thick strings and the higher action of acoustic instruments.

Highly appealing sophisticated design

The 504 II's molded chassis with its sleek, flowing lines offers a stylish ultra-modern appearance that will endure for many years to come. Extremely durable space-age plastic and a flat control surface take the worry out of carrying the unit in the same case with other gear. The pedal switches are tough enough to be operated with the sole of a hard boot, providing ruggedness on a par with metal units.

A palm-sized partner

Thanks to its palm-top size dimensions and low weight of only 280g (without batteries), the 504 II fits in any guitar case and can even be carried in your jacket pocket.

Analog feel and simple operation

Zoom's long experience with compact effect devices has helped shape the 504 II: a large rotary selector, easy to read red LED display, foot switches with ample travel. In a word, an interface that is truly user friendly. You build your sound simply by selecting elements shown on the panel and using the + and - keys to change values. And you can easily store any of your creations in up to 36 patch locations.

28 hours of continuous operation

with four size AA alkaline batteries

On stage or in the rehearsal studio, you don't always have spare batteries at hand. This isn't a problem with the 504 II. Its low power consumption design extends battery life to the maximum. Of course, you can also use an optional AC adapter for extended practice sessions or pre-production work.

Ready for pedal effect operation

A rear-panel CONTROL IN jack lets you connect an optional Zoom foot switch or expression pedal into 504 II. This greatly enhances the range of your playing options. You can use the pedal to control volume, Wah, or other parameters in real time. The footswitch also makes it easy to quickly detect the feedback frequency during a performance. This kind of convenience can make all the difference on stage.

Built-in auto-chromatic tuner

The integrated tuning function lets you quickly and precisely adjust the pitch of your instrument, even in a loud rehearsal environment or live gig. The re-designed tuner interface looks cool and is extremely useful. Besides the note readout, the difference in pitch is shown by the speed of a rotating indicator. This makes tuning as easy as using a harmonics beat.

In an exceptionally compact body, you get a full array of 33 different effects, arranged in seven modules. The quality of effects is exceptional, and up to nine effects can be used at the same time. The 505 II far surpasses anything previously available. The distortion module in particular has been designed to please any guitarist, offering world-famous guitar amp sounds created using the latest modeling techniques.

Use 36 preprogrammed patches right away

Effect combinations and parameter settings can be stored by the user in up to 36 patches. What's more, a variety of patches that faithfully reproduce the sound of famous guitarists are also included. Without having to buy expensive amplifiers, you can now play with an unlimited variety of sounds. For line out use and recording at home or studio, the amp simulator allows you to recreate the tonal characteristics of a real guitar amp.

ZNR (Zoom Noise Reduction)

An adequate amount of distortion is indispensable for getting a great guitar sound, but using it effectively depends on one's ability to control noise. The ZNR (Zoom Noise Reduction) system solves the problems of noise that affect every guitarist with a silky smooth and natural release that gives you greater freedom in creating the sound you're looking for.

Recommendations are based on quality & value - not marketing hype!

Regent Guitars prides iteself on its desire to highlight quality products and not to merely rely on the marketing budgets of high profile brands to power our sales & recommendations. If we recommend it, you have total peace of mind that the product has genuine attributes that make it a market leader.

Guitars we recommend don't just look and sound good - they have also passed our stingent quality control testing

Regulars to Regent Guitars will know that guitars can look great but what is most important is that they adhere to strict laws of geometry! If a guitars geometry is out - you can be asured it will not play correctly, impairing the tonality and playability of the instrument. Peter Allen - head technician and former quality control manager of Patrick Eggle guitars checks all our guitars and we will not recommend an instrument until Peter has given it the all clear.

Ask the forumites!

Remember - If you are still unsure, please feel free to discuss our recommendations with the hundreds of "forumites" who discuss guitar issues every day, here at the Regent Guitars forum. In other words, don't just take our word for it - the last thing we want you to do is purchase an instrument that doesn't inspire you to play!

Hopefully, these pages will give you 100% peace of mind that whichever guitar you choose, it will be amongst the top guitars available in the maket place today.
