Tascam CD-GT1 - Guitar & Vocal Trainer

Every guitarist has NO excuse not to own one of these amazing new devices by Tascam - and just £149?!

Hot footing it from this year's NAMM show the TASCAM CD-GT1 portable guitar and vocal trainer - a versatile, easy to use and cool looking practice and jamming tool.

Designed with all the style and panache of TASCAM's world-beating portastudio™ range, the CD-GT1 comes with a whole host of features and on-board performance aides, making it easier than ever to practice licks, rehearse songs and improve playing technique. The integral CD player includes a Slow Down Speed Audition facility allowing you to reduce the tempo of a song by up to 50% without changing the pitch of the track. Alternatively the pitch of a track can be altered without changing the tempo, enabling a song to be tuned to a guitar, preferred vocal key or any other instrument such as a keyboard.

Seamless in and out looping capabilities, with flash start and seamless locate and play cue point function, enables phrases, songs or solos to be rehearsed over and over. For quick set-up of authentic sounds, 43 built-in modelling effects include 15 distortion and 15 clean guitar tones - with reverb, delay and chorus effects - and 15 vocal sounds, including selections of reverbs and processing effects. Footswitch operation enables stopping and starting of the CD and scrolling through the effects. An onboard chromatic tuner is also included.

Power from either mains adaptor (optional accessory) or batteries ensure the CD-GT1 can be used everywhere, from the bedroom or the music class-room to the tour bus. And needless to say that at £149 SSR, the CD-GT1 is as keenly priced as it is smart and colourful.

Important facts about how we produce our product Guides

Specialists in each department vet new products

By clicking on acoustic, electric or bass you can learn a little more about the individals who select the products we recommend as well as information on the products themselves. As standard monthly procedure, these specialists meet up with the manufacturers and learn more about latest releases and whether these products offer our customers anything "new". Not only does this guarantee the products you see are worthy of our recommendation but also reflective of the very latest developments.

Recommendations are based on quality & value - not marketing hype!

Regent Guitars prides iteself on its desire to highlight quality products and not to merely rely on the marketing budgets of high profile brands to power our sales & recommendations. If we recommend it, you have total peace of mind that the product has genuine attributes that make it a market leader.

Guitars we recommend don't just look and sound good - they have also passed our stingent quality control testing

Regulars to Regent Guitars will know that guitars can look great but what is most important is that they adhere to strict laws of geometry! If a guitars geometry is out - you can be asured it will not play correctly, impairing the tonality and playability of the instrument. Peter Allen - head technician and former quality control manager of Patrick Eggle guitars checks all our guitars and we will not recommend an instrument until Peter has given it the all clear.

Ask the forumites!

Remember - If you are still unsure, please feel free to discuss our recommendations with the hundreds of "forumites" who discuss guitar issues every day, here at the Regent Guitars forum. In other words, don't just take our word for it - the last thing we want you to do is purchase an instrument that doesn't inspire you to play!

Hopefully, these pages will give you 100% peace of mind that whichever guitar you choose, it will be amongst the top guitars available in the maket place today.
