Body depth: 80-90mm (3.15”-3.54”)

Scale length: 650mm (25.59”)

Electro system: B-Band under-saddle pickup plus internal condenser mic. Preamp with volume, mic volume, three-band EQ, variable midrange frequency, phase reverse

Finish: Natural

The warmth and quick attack of the APX9NA’s fan-braced solid cedar top is perfectly matched to the guitar’s nylon-stringing, the rosewood back and sides contributing rich harmonics and a strong projection. Features like an ebony fingerboard and bridge emphasise the instrument’s top-range status, as does the elegant, wood-inlaid soundhole rosette.

The APX9NA’s internal mic is mounted on an adjustable gooseneck for optimum positioning, and the signal can be mixed with the excellent B-Band pickup for powered sounds that have superb clarity and a realistic concert-like ambience. The preamp’s wide-band, variable midrange (80Hz - 10kHz) further extends the tonal possibilities, while the phase reverse and supplied soundhole cover are effective for eliminating feedback at high volumes.

APX9NA Preamp System

The APX9NA features a two-way pickup system that employs EMF`s highly responsive and ultra thin B-Band pickup mounted under the saddle along with a condenser microphone mounted in the body for optimum acoustic sound reproduction. As the tonal qualities found in steel and nylon stringed guitars does differ, we designed a new preamp section that would faithfully deliver the subtle nuances characteristic of nylon string guitars. Processing the signals from both pickups, this preamp section is equipped with a 3-band EQ and an Adjustable Midrange Frequency (AMF) control for precise sound tailoring right at the playing position. A separate volume control and phase switch is supplied for the microphone to provide added control over balance and help eliminate feedback in live situations.

Guitars we recommend don't just look and sound good - they have also passed our stingent quality control testing

Regulars to Regent Guitars will know that guitars can look great but what is most important is that they adhere to strict laws of geometry! If a guitars geometry is out - you can be asured it will not play correctly, impairing the tonality and playability of the instrument. Peter Allen - head technician and former quality control manager of Patrick Eggle guitars checks all our guitars and we will not recommend an instrument until Peter has given it the all clear.
