| 8 to 38. These are as light as it gets. The top E is very bendy but prone to snapping if you are into those 3 fret blues bends! Lack tone but easy on the fingers. |
9 to
42. The most popular gauge of string on the market. Most electric guitars get fitted with these as standard. More tone than 8's but not as hard on the fingers as 10's. Average tone but those who venture to the thicker strings will be rewarded! |
9 to
46. The sensible choice for getting more tone without making your fingers sore! The top 3 strings are exactly the same as 9's. All the tone comes from the heavier bass strings. More tone - No sore fingers. |

| 10 to 46. Our second most popular string set. Very often fitted on Les Pauls & Semi's for greater tone. Some players moan about them being to harsh on the fingers..Arrrr. More depth to higher strings and bass.. |
10 to
52. My favourite string set! If you like 10's, yu will love these. Same principle as 9-46 sets. Same top 3 but heavier bass strings. Awesome tone and definately worth trying Tone City! |
11 to
48. Too heavy for many players who find the 11 gauge top too restrictive for bends. Very popular with jazz players who bend strings much less than their rock and blues counterparts. Great tone but get the plasters ready if you are not used to them. |

| *Please remember to seek advice about making drastic changes to your string gauge. The different tensions on the neck can cause big changes in the action of the guitar and can be a nightmare with floyd rose trems! | |||
