Although at Regent Guitars, we are proud to have produced the awesome Series R model, which cannot be beaten in terms of playability (and style!), all guitars sold at Regent Guitars are set up to the highest of standards and the Series R model will certainly not satisfy EVERY individuals requirements. One of the key factors of the Ovankol models is their solid spruce top and Ovankol back and sides. The solid top offers acoustic purists a fantastic tone which will improve with age. The Ovankol back and sides are features normally reserved for guitars at 3 or 4 times the price! (Taylor use Ovankol on their acoustic guitars which begin at over £1000). Tanglewood have cheakily "borrowed" other features from Taylor such as the "Taylor style" scratch plate and bridge. The model featured here even looks very similar in its body styling too!
