An all new, all solid acoustic that gives "more tone per £" than any other acoustic.

TW15NS by Tanglewood is stunning value for money.

Sometimes I worry that it looks like all I ever talk about is Tanglewood when it comes to acoustics. However, I think that this comment could be true - that is to say that it always seems to be Tanglewood acoustic products that inspire me to put "fingers to keyboard" in order to praise them here at the RG website. For this I should not be embarrased and I can asure you that I am totally unbiased - I simply say what I see and all my comments can be backed up by the many players who have followed my advice to then enjoy years of pleasurable acoustic guitar playing!

So with all that waffle out of the way, let me give you a brief run down of my favourite Tanglewoods starting from the bottom up. The TW28 at £129 - our best selling entry level acoustic. This can be upgraded to the TW28 ST (Solid Top) which gives more tone and a lovely finish at £179, again a best seller at its price point. That leads the acoustic purist nicely to this brand new model weighing in at £259

So with the TW28ST being so good for the money, what warrants spending an extra £79 on this model?
At Regent, our regulars will be well aware that we do not "sell people up" just for the sake of it and let me say now, for many players the TW28 ST is more than enough but for those who want that little bit more, read on!  The Diamond Fretmarkers on the TW15 set it off a treat!

Grover Machineheads. You cannot beat them. They are solid, reliable and will give every player that extra bit of assurance that their instrument is going to stay in tune through the set.

All Solid construction. This term means that unlike most guitars at this price point which have a solid spruce top, this instrument has solid top, back and sides. You've guessed it! This means even better tone and an instrument that has to be heard to be appreciated. As I have said before, the Intenet is great for advice but terrible for actually hearing these damn things! If you come and see us, why not compare one to other guitars we stock such as top end Simon and Patrick or Taylor acoustics at 2, 3 or 4 times the price! You will be amazed.

Cosmetic details that ooze with class. If you are a seasoned player, you will have already noticed the cosmetic similarities between this guitar and Taylor acoustic guitars that start at £1000 and go up from there. It is not surprising that with Taylor being such a highly respected brand that Tanglewood would borrow some of their stylistic features including the same scratchplate, bridge and even the white binding and diamond inlays that all ooze Taylor. My view is that this simply makes the TW15 even more of a bargain, especially if you imagine that you can buy 4 all solid TW15s for the same price as one all solid Taylor 310! Now that is value!!

The Taylor 410 is a beautiful guitar at just over £1000
The Taylor 410 at £1000.

Now haven't I seen that guitar somewhere before??
So! As you can see, the extra £79 which seperates the TW28ST and the TW15NS goes an awful long way. For some, the TW28ST will be enough but if you can afford the extra...go on - push the boat out!! You won't regret it.  Check out the TW15NS in the catalogue
